Pre-Inventory Preparation
You and each of your stores are important to us, not just prior to inventory day but on inventory day. Our local PICS management team will be Pro-Active in making sure that each of your store managers feel confident with our services when conducting the inventory. At PICS, we understand the amount of time that is put into the store preparation before inventory day. We also understand that inventories are “Report Cards” for store managers and more times than not, bonuses are calculated on the inventory numbers reported.
PICS, standard practice is to confirm each inventory via phone a minimum of seven days prior to inventory. The confirmation phone call is required to be made with the store manager. During the call, confirmation of the inventory data and time are made. Additionally, any special entrances to be used will also be confirmed. Your PICS representative will also answer any questions the store manager may have and will review any items of concern.
PICS will conduct a physical pre-inventory walk through for first time inventories or stores with new store managers. PICS will have a set of questions prepared in conjunction with your corporate office concerning items to discuss during the pre-inventory walk-through. The agreed to flow of the inventory team will also be reviewed and confirmed. During the visit, the PICS representative will review the store for proper pre-inventory preparation and discuss any areas of concern with store management. The PICS representative will also map the store during the walk through to ensure that all areas and fixtures will be counted during the physical inventory.
